Can anyone give me a list of things to bring to Warped tour?!

Question:

Can anyone give me a list of things to bring to Warped tour?

I'm going to want to get autographs and pictures, and I'm afraid I'm going to get there and realize I've forgotten something.

Okay, first of all I'm 14 and how much money do I need? I want to buy a couple of cd's, t-shirts, and is there a program thing you can buy? (like a booklet of the bands and stuff)

Answers:

I've been to the last six Warped Tours, so I pretty much have the routine down. The obvious things you need are a sharpie, water, and sunscreen (reapply liberally).

The biggest thing, though, is a wristwatch! Stages are all over the place, and it's always really helpful to know what time it is so you know when to go to which stage.

Things to know:
The doors usually open an hour before the time it says on the ticket, and one main-stage act plays a half-hour before the time on your ticket. I have seen Thursday and Motion City Soundtrack play before the scheduled time that Warped Tour is supposed to start, and a lot of people missed them because of that! So, get there plenty early!

The first thing I do every year is find the schedule for the day as fast as I can. There will be a large board with band names, showtimes, and stages on it. Take a few minutes before the music starts to plan out your day, and bring a piece of paper to write down times and stages for the bands you want to see. The listing on the website isn't even close to the actual order of bands and what stage they'll play on.

It's fun to get autographs, but try to find people from your favorite bands just hanging out somewhere, instead of at their official signing times. The lines can get ridiculous, and you may miss a lot of great bands. Last year, the lines to meet From First To Last took more than an hour to get through and hundreds of kids missed a lot of performances.

Also, see as many bands as you can! You never know who's going to blow up... I saw small shows from Yellowcard, the Plain White T's, and Motion City Soundtrack, among others, before many people knew who they were.

Have fun! Warped Tour is a great experience and you'll get to see a lot of good bands.
