Almost cosmic, eh?
Apparently, Roger was deeply affected - reduced to tears, in fact. Partly because Syd looked un-Syd like by that point. (The band could not recognise him for some time). Syd himself asked for a guitar to overdub some guitar parts, only to be told that they had already been done. Sadly, I think that would have made him feel pretty much that he was well and truly a part of Pink Floyd's history, at that point.
