Singing voice or regular?!

Question:

Singing voice or regular?

how do you singing?
with your regular voice?
singing voice?
screaming?
or somewhere in between?

Answers:

There is a big difference between your regular speaking voice and singing voice. It has to do how the voice box functions, and how your body has to work in an aerodynamic way to get it sound like that. When we speak, the air from our lungs passes through the vocal cords, making them swing back and forth. Unless we yell, scream, or try and speak over already existing loud noise, we don't put too much energy into it.
when we sing, the air passing by the vocal cords is used in a highly dynamic, efficient method, and the vocal cords themselves go through many many changes to accommodate the pitches, the dynamics, the mood, and the sound in general. We need to put energy into it. Learning how to sing teaches us these differences, and how to go about them in a correct ( non-harmful) way.
Every genre of music can benefit from knowing how to sing correctly- one of many plugs for folks taking singing lessons-
without necessarily having to sound classical.
