When I get an electric guitar, should it be with or without a whammy bar?
Answers:
It depends on what style of music you want to play with it.
Whammy bars are good for rock,punk, pop, metal & especially.......the blues
You dont need one either if you choose. It just depends on what you want to do musically. All a whammy bar does is bend the strings notes higher or lower so you don't have to use your fingers (vibratto) to do it, that's all. It's just a tool to help you do that to the strings, that's all.
