Who sings Ooh Child? I am looking for the one from Boyz in the Hood, but I can't find that song listing there.

It's called Ooh Child (things are gonna get easier).I have been over at Yahoo Music alot today and found SEVERAL recordings and none of them matched 'the one' I'm looking for. I might have it narrowed down, but I'm not sure. I am positive I first heard it on Boyz in the Hood, but I cannot find that track listing on the soundtrack. Help. LOL

I thought it might be Five Stairsteps, but it doesn't sound the same as it did from Boyz.....although it has been awhile since I've seen the movie. I have also heard an older version of it at a store I work at, and I know that deft. isn't it. LOL

Five Stairsteps did that song circa 1971. Yes, it was used in Boyz in The Hood circa 1991.
