what does a talk box do? is it for vocals or guitar?
Answers:
It's for guitar, and it's that thing you see Peter Frampton use a lot, like when he says "Do you feel like I do" (also Joe Walsh, Joe Perry, etc). It basically sends the guitar signal through a small powerful speaker and into a long tube that one puts in their mouth. By shaping your mouth into words, your guitar "talks" with your guitar sound. Lots of fun, but it needs to be miked to be heard.
