Has anyone else noticed........?

that Modest Mouse has a thing for water or boats or something??? (at least the song and album names are)

I mean "float on" (floating-water), the video for "Dashboard" is Sailors and the ocean and such, "Missed the boat" (boat), and their newest CD "we were dead before the SHIP even sank"



so..yeah? anyone else notice that? im not a fan (not bashing them though), its just something i noticed

I'm equally annoyed by your abuse of the word "notice". Also, MASTODON, who unlike Modest Mouse, plays good music, seem to be infatuated with water--especially in their album entitled "Leviathan". It's rumored that it's the story of Moby Dick. Maybe these bands are worshipping Neptune or something for great riffs, and when he grants them their riffs, they pay homage to him via the nautical allegory...
