What are your opinions on the way radio rap has changed?!

Question:

What are your opinions on the way radio rap has changed?

From the days of old school, to Dr Dre, to the stuff you hear now.

Answers:

It's simple...radio was once the main driving force of hip hop music...taking it from the street corners and the local venues and allowing it to spread like wildfire...the music wasn't well known so nothing was making money hand over foot...The music was from the heart, from the streets, it was one of the greater forms of expression for people without a voice in the community, as you started to emerge into gangsta rap...more and more people hopped on board thanks to Biggie, Pac, Dre, NWA, everyone started to accept the music and more and more music was starting to be released with radio in mind and the quality of expression began to degrade...I believe that the artists named above didn't necessarily degrade the music, they improved it making beats and fluid rhymes a staple in the rap game, but I do believe as you started to move into the era of 50 cent, Master p, ludacris, you start to see music being made for money and not to give a voice to the streets, now all these artists only care about the dollar, sure the music wasn't bad, but what it did was pave the way for new artist to completely degrade the music..now all they want to talk about is money, cars, hos, clothes, and jewlery...how is a nation supposed to identify with any of this, when only 1% of the nation makes enough money to afford all this, why do you think drugs are starting to get worse and worse in the urban areas, because they listen to rap these days and its not fight the power....its sell the cocaine, get rich and kill anyone in your way..Personally today's rap kills me because its never from the heart its always from the wallet.
