What happend to deftones lead singer Chino Moreno?

Hey ive been a fan for around 7 years now of the deftones and honestly what happend to Chinos voice? Like I know age is an impact on ones vocal chords but honestly thats no excuse considering slayer still kicks ***, and Staind can still scream. I also know as a singer myself that screaming a lot damages the voice but honestly Chino can still scream, i heard it a few times at the worester mass show in june. I just feel like he doesnt even try anymore and honestly the energy goes away after u hear his scream. Please if you have any info on his voice and why he doesnt even try anymore please answer. Honestly there are screaming teachers out there too that can help. He just really sounds like a stubborn person.

I might be going out on a limb here but I suspect that Moreno's passion just isn't burning as bright as it once did. The Deftones were never the most prolific of bands, but even for their standard pace of putting out new material, they move at a snail's pace. Maybe his heart just isn't into the whole business anymore.
