Red Hot Chili Peppers?
This is a question for die hard RHCP fans, fans from before Stadium Arcadium...
My question to you is this. What do you think of Stadium Arcadium? Is it better or worse than any past albums for any particular reason? I like it because it sounds like they mixed the mood in "By The Way" (more mellow) and "One Hot Minute" more fast paced. It got a lot of mainstream attention, even from teens which I was not expecting because I am a teen myself and I don't know many kids my age that are RHCP fans.

Yeah, honestly I'd be surprised if they decided to change all of a sudden after like 20 years. Is that right? 20 years or so I believe.

I did notice that this was a more funky album, sounds like their REALLLLLLLLLY early stuff.
Answers:
They are the same group in name only. Their sound has shifted drastically since the early days. They have gone to more of this laid-back, uber-california groove band. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. I still like their music a whole lot, but it's taken a dramatic shift from their 80's punk roots. From a business standpoint, I am sure Kiedis wanted to sell more CD's to all those soccer moms.
