How do musicians get paid for live gigs?
When rappers, singers and bands do shows, how are they paid? Is it straight cash, or some form of wire transfer? How are the taxes worked out?
Answers:
It can be any of those things. Depends on the club or venue or promoter. More than likely they do not withhold taxes when the band is paid. However, the band may have a business manager or accountant who does that, or 1099's them for tax purposes.
