Singing advice...?!

Singing advice...?
♥ So, I just started taking singing lessons. I also take piano lessons, and I used to take guitar (I gave it up 'cause I sucked =) I play flute too... ANYWAY, can I use my instrumental background to help my singing?... that's not worded very well, but I think you get the idea... Any good answer will be appreciated! =] ♥

well being a musician you know notes so that would help you keep your tone correct, which by the way doesn't sound like much but it makes a major difference between sounding awesome and sounding like you have a stomach ache lol
