Really easy songs to cover in a punk/alt. rock band?
We're just starting out in a band with all our members, and I'd figure before we begin making original songs, a good way to practice playing together would be to do cover songs, where we wouldn't have to argue over what's right or wrong or better sounding, etc., since it's already set out.
The only song I have in mind that we've made a bit of progress on is Pain for Pleasure - Sum 41.
ALL I ASK is that you please don't suggest typical easy rock songs to cover, because I'm sure everyone and myself is sick of hearing them, and if we were ever to play a show, I wouldn't agree to play any of them because I want to play something that's a little refreshing to hear. (Examples to not suggest: Smells Like Teen Spirit, Smoke on the Water, Iron Man, etc.)

That's a good start I think. My band did some of those at first. They're fun to play and not too hard.
