How to read guitar tabs???
im a beginner i know quite a few chords,but have no idea how to read tabs,i kind of get the whole e,b string etc and fret thing but how do you know what chord it is just from those numbers and how exactly do you play it? do you finger the shape of the chord the same??what does it mean: eg. "hold down the 12 fret, and play on the 12 fret for one note"??how do you do that?do you finger chords aswell????how??? told you i was a beginner!!im so confused :(

Each line is a string on the guitar. The numbers are what fret you put your finger on that certain string. Put your finger on that fret and that certain string and play it once. Each number is just one note. Sometimes you will see more than one number at the same time on different strings, so you have to play it like a chord.
