Are there any singing opportunities out there for me?

I love to sing. I'm not awesome at it, but I'm pretty good at singing. My mom is encouraging me to try my best and she's trying to help me find contests for me to enter, but we can't find any. So if you guys know any contests or talent shows that would accept a 14 year old, that would be awesome. I'd preferably like it if it's in Texas so I don't have to go far, but just PLEASE help me.

:] anyways... I would say to continue training for
as long as possible... you want to go out there and
be "discovered" when you have been training and your
voice is at its best!!! I like to find websites dedicated to
acting, singing, dancing, etc. they usually have auditions/
competitions listed
