Why does the Dave Matthews Band skip Colorado in their tour frequently?!

Question:

Why does the Dave Matthews Band skip Colorado in their tour frequently?

Answers:

This is the first time since 04 they have skipped the state on their Summer tour. The main problem is no good places to play. They tend to avoid indoor venues so naturally the Pepsi Center is unpopular, although they played it last year. That really only leaves Red Rocks, which is an amazing venue, one the fans and the band love. DMB has released 2 live albums from the venue, but the problem is size. Red Rocks holds less than 10,000 people, which isn't ideal for a band that can sell out a venue like Alpine Valley (holds almost 40,000 people) in Wisconsin on back to back nights year after year.

Maybe next year the band will do another 4 night stand at Red Rocks or something but until then Colorado is in the same predicament as Minnesota (my home state) when it comes to acts like DMB that thrive on outdoor summer concerts.
