Buying new drum kit need some advice.?
I am looking for a 4-5 piece kit that is about 500 or so. Want a middle of the line set. I was planning on a pearl export but many people have told me its barely beter than the pearl forum wich i have now. ( dont need cymbols r hardware, just got all new stuff for that)

Yeah, if you already have a Forum and only want to spend $500, don't bother getting the Export. The Mapex M Birch for about $800 would be a nice upgrade.
If you haven't put new heads on your kit yet, a set of good heads could make a huge difference. Make sure to change the top and bottom with good heads (like Evans G2 on tops and Evans G1 on bottoms).
