Yes it's around. But it can be hard to find

I think there are a lot great bands putting albums out right now. Its extremely important to make sure that MTV, and the radio is turned off.

You can find better bands by starting your own station at places like http://www.pandora.com/, or launch.yahoo.com. Sure, they don't have every underground band, but they have 1000s of times more than most radio will give you.

This is my station on yahoo. Its got tons of great bands. And some bad ones too.
