I Salute You! The Velvet Underground Are Such An Incredible Band. I'd Recommend You Should Do Exactly What I Did And Buy "The Velvet Underground & Nico" Which Was Their Debut Record. Every Song Is Absoloutly Fantastic, Their Best Work In My Opinion. "White Light/White Heat" Would Also Be A Safe Bet. Definately Go For One Of Their Earliest Albums. "Gold" Is A Two Disc Compilation Of Their Best Songs So If You Want A Bit Of Diversity I'd Go For That But If You're Looking To Get Into The VU Definately Go For "The Velvet Underground & Nico". You Won't Be Disappointed!
