New linkin park. does anybody know why mike shinoda is barely on the album?!

i just got the new linkin park album and mike shinoda only raps in two songs. is he trying to phase himself out of the band for his solo project?

i think that linkin park are trying to change their style,to make different,and probably that is why shinoda is barely on the album.i am not sure....
