They both have provided their listeners with some of the "best" songs ever heard in hip-hop. Pac, at times, was more about bettering the community in the best way he knew how, while Jay has consistently been concerned with bettering himself.

Tupac, a mc that can connect to the struggling community and bring self realization to everyday problems is a whole lot more easier to connect to than some some punk rapping about his fine *****, or 200 million dollar mansions or his 100,000 dollar cars that most of us if had that kind of money would not buy.
