Talented child?!

Talented child?

My daughter, now seven, has always had a wonderful memory. She was able to speak before crawling. She was able to sing songs verbatum at the age of two. She has a wonderful voice and was place in the gifted and talented class at her previous school. She wants to play at an advanced age, not on the same level as her peers, and tends to find it hard to get along with those her age. She has a talent to sing and she is embarrassed by this. How can I motivate her to sing for others? Mind you, I do have a limited income and cannot supplement her ability at this time. I would love for her to make a career out of singing, but I don't feel she wants the same thing.

to nany, she loves to sing. it is all she does. she sings in front of family, but not to strangers. her favorite songs are by hannah montana.

thanks to everyone for your insight. i do not push her. she is very independent and lets me know what she wants or doesn't want and i respect that. i will take all of the advice to heart.
