Firstly, what the first person said about packages being bad isn't exactly right. If you were to get parts singularly as they suggested, you would expect HEAPS more money being spent.

Secondly, depending on the type of music, you would be getting a different package from the two you mentioned. The IJX40 Pack can be used to play almost anything. The IJX121 on the other hand is better for metal. The IJX121 Pack I noticed has a GRG Ibanez guitar which I used to own as well. I recommend if you're just starting out on the guitar NOT to get this guitar because it has a tool called a tremolo which can be EXTREMELY annoying to tune.

Lastly, from the two packs that you included, I am suggesting the IJX40 if you want a simple, straightforward guitar that can play almost anything. On the other hand, if you want a guitar best for Metal, but don't mind taking ages to tune, I'm suggesting IJX121.
