What is the type of cleft used in guitar sheet music?!

Question:

What is the type of cleft used in guitar sheet music?

I am trying to write a song but I want to make sure I get the cleft correct.

Answers:

There is no specific clef used in music, unless the instrument the music is written for can only handle a certain range.

That being said, music for a regular six string guitar, whether it is acoustic or electric, should most likely be in the treble clef. Bass guitars, again, acoustic or electric, both use the bass clef. I have a feeling, though, that if you use low enough sounds, you may have to move into the bass clef with a regular guitar.

That's right; in one song, you can move back and forth between the bass and treble clef, sometimes multiple times in just a few measures. You are not restricted by the clefs, but rather simply by your imagination and what you are willing to write/play.
