How was your experience riding the train?

I've taken the greyhound many a time and hate how it's a gamble whether your bus will show up or not. So, I'm taking the train. I've never been to the train station before, don't know how reliable the trains are, wthat are some experinces you've had. ( I know it's gonna be bumpy, I'll deal. Can't be any worse than bus driver's driving.........) I'm going from Detroit to Kansas City. Peace.
