make sure the neck is straight(not bowed)EXAMPLE: hold the guitar up and look down the body(from behind the tremelo) and if the neck curves up toward the celing the guitar is no good. Most Guitar shops will give you a deal on the practice amp if you buy your guitar from them.....and buy some extra strings everytime you go to the guitar shop even if you don't need them(you never know).
