comparison between the two AND a personal opinions are fine too
Answers:
Personally I prefer the Petrof -- it is handcrafted, and very well made, with a unique tone. Kawai is mass-produced in Japan, and their actions are made with varying amounts of ABS plastic. I cannot fathom why a piano manufacturer would do that. I find them generally too bright
Otherwise they make a decent instrument -- but I'd buy Boston before I'd buy Kawai. Boston is made by Kawai but designed by Steinway, and there is NO plastic in the action.
