It's random. Very random. You could poll everyone from tellers to bus drivers to moguls, and I promise you (talking of "where were you last night?" just for starters, or how about, "I only drank 3 beers. I don't know what happened to the others.")
And the more important the lie, the better the liar tells it. Watch and you'll see. Oh, so much sincerity in the eyes of falsehood!!!
BUT TO ANSWER:
POLITICIANS. They are schooled in it.
CELEBRITIES are all over the place. They can't even lie themselves out of jail or out of getting a ** on Sunset Boulevard, or out of cheating on their spouses. Most celebrities are pretty amateurish at the art of deception.
To be honest, probably accountants and high-powered people who deal with money. I bet there are two zillion pounds of paper falling off of desks for the weight of the lies, when it comes to tax times!!!! (And again, that's not just the accountants, that's John and Jane Doe citizen.)
Why did I let lawyers off the hook? Yeah, they lie, but like (forgive me) used car dealers, the sleaziest do the most lying, and the best don't. The good ones have pretty difficult tasks, and their "lying" problem is to twist the facts to be truth.
Well, that's heavy-duty lying, come to think of it.
So, you tell me what my answer is. Since "greed" was made god, lying is a way of life in the U.S. At business schools, students are taught bottom line, and the truth be dmnd. Ethics is hardly taught anymore.
