What's wrong with McFly fans ?

Hey, first I hope everyone understands this question is not offensive as I am myself one of the few McFly male fans.

Last May, I spent a week in London and took the opportunity to attend the show at the Astoria (for those who were here, I was the guy at the very beginning of the queue).

I'm from France, where the band is not known AT ALL, I insist. So I only knew their songs and videos, and figured it was a good fresh pop-rock band 'cause I was aware of their success in the UK. Then when I went to the show...

First I was impressed with the % of girls in the audience, but that was totally ok. However, I was disappointed by the attitude of most of the fans with each others and the band. The guys write their music, play live and they're treated by their female fans like a boy band from back in the days, when they definitely not act like one (no sexy photoshoots, no dancing...)

Don't you think they deserve credit for their musical abilities, not only screamin' hysterical girls?

Before the show start, a girl in the audience asked me "Why do you like McFly ? 'cause you're like the only boy here..." and I was quite surprised, knowing the band just from the internet, I thought the audience was of both genders.

And I was disappointed that most of the fans were very selfish (not talking to the girl beside you, just hopin' Dougie would like you better...)

The band has a fresh, fun, cool attitude and good songs, concerts should be fun to attend for everyone, how did they end up being treated like that by their fans ?

Their performance was good, I still like to listen to McFly but honestly, I felt sorry for them after the show.

Yea i 100% agree they need more credit and more people to like them for there music.not for there looks ect.
I'm a female fan of them and i like the music though it bugs me when i see them,always people (girls) push you out the way and scream "i love you" ect. i think they must get a bit bored of it they need more male fans at there gigs also as most of the female fans are only fans because they think the are attractive.
They need credit for there songs ad the meanings in the lyrics also there ability to play instruments and to sing.
