Who is the greatest singer of all time?
Not just this era, but in generations past.... Not the most popular, but the most talented.... Tell me why you think so.
Answers:
This answer would be different for each person depending on what qualities one looks for in a singer. I am a classically trained singer, so the best singers in my opinion are Dame Joan Sutherland, Dame Nellie Melba, Maria Callas, Enrico Caruso, Luciano Pavarotti, Elvira Fathykhova and Sumi Jo are amongst those I'd consider to be the best singer of all time.
Other voices I like include Lisa Gerrard, Lara Fabian, Aretha Franklin, Shirley Bassey, Frank Sinatra and Sarah Birghtman.
