what are good songs that are nice to play at the guitar... pls name songs that arent that old..thnx:)

You're in luck! There are a lot of cool modern rock songs that sound good and are pretty easy to play. Here's a few suggestions.
Green Day is a good place to start—"Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "American Idiot" come to mind. "Hey There Delilah" by the Plain White T's isn't too hard to master, but will sound impressive.
There are a number of Nirvana songs that sound great, like "Smells Like Teen Spirit," "Polly" and "Come As You Are." The Foo Fighters (featuring ex-Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl) have a number of songs that aren't too hard to play, like "Big Me" and "Times Like These."
"Scare Tissue" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers is only three chords (F-C-Dm), but it rocks.
