Dj's or people who know about electronic music, HELP!!?
can you please explain the difference between techno, dance, trance? I am building my music library, but there's some music that sounds like trance (120 bpm) but the label says dance?! For example, Dennis Cristopher's "Sl.ut" is it dance or trance?

You could put him under the catch-all category of electronica.
Techno is pretty much the same exact thing as electronica, which is electronic dance music. Said to be invented in Detroit in the mid-80's. Trance is a style of electronic music that developed in the 1990s. Trance music is generally characterized by a tempo of between 130 and 150 bpm, featuring repeating melodic synthesizer phrases, and a musical form that builds up and down throughout a track, it often features crescendos and/or breakdowns.
