I need easy acoustic songs....?!

Question:

I need easy acoustic songs....?

I'm just learning and I've been playing a lot of anything involving Neil Young (Buffalo Springfield, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, etc.), Wish You Were Here, America, Behind Blue Eyes, Knocking on Heaven's Door, The Doors, etc.

Anyway, I'd like some suggestions on easy songs that were written SPECIFICALLY for the acoustic guitar, preferably with mostly chords. Don't give me a metal song and tell me I can play it on the acoustic, please. Thanks!

Dear classic....
it seems most answerers missed a part of your intro...and that you are learning...you didn't say how long you've been playing? But you are playing acoustic...most new players dive into an electric guitar because it excites them, or its cool,...brovo for you...learn the acoustic and you can play ANY other guitar at any time. Practice is most important..learn the chords inside and out, backwards, forwards, slow and fast. Top four strings on your guitar are the bass strings (same as a bass guitar), learn to use them when you chord. Do you have a tuner or can you tune the strings by ear? A good electronic tuner is invaluable, and not too expensive these days.
As for good acoustic songs to help with your chording...it all depends on what music you prefer to play...dig up some of the lullabies you heard growing up, you know them in your head, now put the chords to them. Start with slower songs with easy chord changes. In time you will know the chords by the sound of them, then you get fast and inventive. Remember, there are only seven major chords in all music...learn them without thinking and you will be on your way.
I have played acoustic for 30 years and still love it, and still learn something everytime I practice.
Don't ever give up..and don't be shy to sing either...practice your voice as you would guitar..the chords are the same, only your vocals is the instrument.
best to you...
