Two Allen Organs..?!

Question:

Two Allen Organs..?

organists only please...One is an Allen 301 Contemporary from the year 1973. The second one is an Allen 124 from 1981.
Could you please advise me on which one you think I should purchase (or which one you would go with if it was up to you)? Before you decide here are the accommodations:
I live in an apartment
The 301 has a few more scratches and dents on it..the 124 is in better exterior condition...they are both in fine interior condition
This 124 model does NOT have a memory capture system of any kind...just pistons preset by the Allen company.
The 301 has a folding top, the 124 has a rolling top
Even though the 301 has external speakers, the 124 gets louder
So basically it's celestes + memory pistons, but older and with more wear (301), or newer and better condition (with more powerful-not just in volume-sound) but no settable memory pistons...so what do you think? Thank you for your advice!

Answers:

Hmmm.... good question. I play a pipe organ now, but our church had an Allen for years. I think it depends on how well varied the pre-set stops on the 124 is. I would get frustrated not being able to set my own unless there was a very nice variety. But overall, I would probably go for the newer and better condition. Good luck!
