Second Instrument???!

Second Instrument???

I started the alto saxophone in the fourth grade and have gotten pretty good at it. I know some advanced improv skills and know the fingering from low b flat to the high f. What instrument should i try out that has similar finger combinations.

Definitely the flute, a great instrument to double on. You will run into idiots who say that flute is "only for girls" or is only for pretty, gentle music - these morons can quickly be silenced by reminding them that Rahsaan Roland Kirk and Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson made powerful music on the flute.
