I want a Burbon I want a Scotch I want a Beer...?!

Question:

I want a Burbon I want a Scotch I want a Beer...?

What song is this from?

Thanks!

Answers:

Most people are probably more familiar with the George Thorogood version, but the original "One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer" was done by John Lee Hooker, on his live 1966 lp, "Live At The Cafe Au Go Go", which also had the classic, "I'll Never Get Out Of These Blues Alive".

Coincidentally, Hooker's "The Motor City's Burning" is celebrating it's 40th anniversary, in just a few days, referring to the deadly racial riot that began on July, 23,1967, and killed 43 citizens, and injured another 400+ in a single week. No wonder folks had the blues.
