Start a band?
any advice on how to start a band i already have a name symbol and a song.
im gonna ask my brother to teach me how to play guitar, and im gonna get people at school to join.
Answers:
some things i've learned.
1.have people who truly just wanna play music.
not just show off that their hardcore, or cool.
2. get people who have dicipline to practice what needs to be practiced. Its hard having a guitarist who plays ten different things when you wanna practice just one song.
3. Fundrasing. by scratch off cards and have people donate the amount they scratched off. 4 cards gets you 4 hundred bucks. give each family member and band member and you can easily make $2000
4. start small.
small mixer. cheap instruments, and ok p.a. system.
you dont wanna find out that a band wasnt your thing and you got a bunch of gear your not gonna ever use again.
5. Practice practice practice
You dont wanna be the band that plays ok. you wanna be the band that in beat. sounds together and can leave people wanting more. dont settle for being mediocre
