I want to start djing- How do I get at it best?

i want to start djing, first of all for my personal pleasure of playing around with music instead of simply listening to it. my problem is that i don't know how to start. equipment-wise, I'll use traktor dj studio 3 which i already have and I'm planning on getting the numark total control usb controller. my biggest problem is to know the basic steps of djing and more importantly how to choose the music that I'm going to play next. any suggestions?

BTW, my favorite style of music is electronic, but I'm ready to start with any style which would be best to start with (hip-hop, house, trance, ...)

choose songs which match the crowd.... and start at parties and give good prices & deals... play popular songs to get the party going.... and when you become more popular integrate your own styles.
