Besides awesome Church related singing, Are black people still becoming singers, or do they all want to rap?
From what i see in MTV.... seems all black people want to rap or hip hop. Luckly this new Making The band is about singers and they are black people so it gives me happiness that they still like to sing. However that seems the minority.
what do you say?

We're only seing what record companies are generating and they generate what they know will sell. Rap & Hip Hop sell.
For proof there are exceptions and they are getting record deals, check out Robert Randolph and the Family Band. 3 of the 4 members actually are family. And what they're doing is anything from the rap & hip hop stereotype. They're busting all kinds of stereotypes. What type of music african-americans are into/can perform, what types of instruments they can/cannot play, and what type of sound you play with those instruments. But you need to look at their videos to get the full effect - I was impressed.
