Former Pantera bassist Rex Brown was not apart of Damageplan, but he is said to be playing bass on Crowbar's 2005 C.D. The brothers hired Patrick Lachman to sing for Damageplan and Bob Zilla to play bass. Then, in 2004, Damageplan released their debut, New Found Power. A month and a half after their debut, Damageplan recorded "Ashes to Ashes" with Jerry Cantrell and contributed the song to The Punisher. This was the last song "Dimebag" Darrell would ever record."
