Why cant good music get popular?
What stops wonderful music from making the top charts??? I'm not saying all, but most music on the radio is garbage. Even when the radio plays a band I like its always a song that is one of their worst. Why cant people request good music?

Amen. Honestly, I think it's American culture. Think about popular music in the 60's and 70's and although bad bands and phases always get popular(i.e. disco) great music was going through its most popular phase with bands like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Heart, Rolling Stones, The Kinks. Then the 80's happened and the "me" generation happened, and music became a sell-out just like television and our culture in general. Now it's about what makes money instead of what's good. The british still manage to put out good and popular bands though, like Oasis and Radiohead.
