Id like to download some new music - can anyone recommend some good ROCK bands - not?
heavy or hard rock - perhaps regular to soft - I like eskimo joe and foo fighters and stuff like that....thanks

I'm a total Smashing Pumpkins fan. Most of their music will be way too heavy for you probably, but their soft stuff: Soot and Stars, Perfect, Stand Inside Your Love, Set the Ray to Jerry, Landslide, etc. etc and you'll have to explore their stuff for yourself, is pure poetry. I'm a huge fan also of: Ani DiFranco, the Shins, the Pixies, Ben Harper, Phish, Twiddle. Check out: the complete Beatles Discography, ditto the Stones (I LOVE early Stones!!!!), Fleetwood Mac, Jefferson Airplane and Starship, Heart, and that's all fer now, 'cos I need to go to bed!
