VERY mixed feelings about the use of some of those classics to push products. Just a few days ago in Yahoo news, there was an article about Beatle fans upset over the use of 'All You Need Is Love' for a Luvs *diaper* ad. Some say it cheapens the memory, legacy & message of the songs.
But I guess this is the new way to introduce old songs to this generation. Seems kinda messed up to me though. (& I'm not even a baby boomer)
Sorry for the tirade, sarah. You're def' one of the cool people on here & I know using old songs for tv ads ain't new, but when they mess w/ the Beatles or Wings (no "The" in Wings, btw), I get a bit annoyed.
