Need help playing my precious guitar?!?
I have a beautiful guitar. I have somewhat played on it in the past, but nothing too serious. I used to be able to pick a couple songs, but it hasnt been played in a good couple months. (too busy)
I heard a beautiful song earlier tonight, and wanted to learn it to play for my boyfriend whom I adore when he gets home. (see last question if curious)
The trouble is, I have a hard time switching chords and keeping my fingers pressed down all the way (little hands!) and a bit of (or there lack of!!!!) rythm.
Any experienced players want to help me out??

I have been playing for 35 years and I can say that you have to practice a lot and be consistent or it will not come together. You have to be serious about this or it won't happen either. With me it was an obsession to be on stage and had to work hard to get there. Here is a tip on pressing down the strings. Don't let your elbow get too close to your body as it makes it harder to keep up your grip. As far as rhythm goes a metronome may help you. Good luck.
