I can yodel (not like mountain men, but used in a song) but only on open mouthed syllables...?
.. is there any way to train myself to be able to jump from chest voice to head voice (yodeling) when i'm on a not wide open mouth syllable?
Answers:
Most yodeling doesn't happen on syllables that aren't vowels. This is on purpose because trying to yodel on other letters can ruin your voice. It causes guttural sound and this can cause severe damage to your vocal chords. I suggest not trying it. If there is a song that you have to do it on then I'd love to see it and I'll help you out as much as I can. I'm a music major in my 3rd year. Good luck!
