Any fans of early 90's Hip Hop??

As far as I'm concerned, 95" was the LAST good yr for Hip/Hop.

I hear ya AJ08, but something tells me you might be a tad bit younger than I am (I'm 34 :). Now, don't get me wrong, there were definitely some good stuff after 95" .......... I L-O-V-E All Eyez on Me (that's one of the BEST Hip Hop albums ever released in History), Nas, the Fugees etc.. There's always exceptions to the rule, but it just seems like after around 95", for the most part, Hip Hop started to become more commerialized, "bling bling", you started seeing girls in the videos bumpin T&A in your face etc.... I'll take it one step further and say that 92" was THE GOLDEN YEAR for Hip Hop. That summer was off the hook! Just my opinion :) But I hear ya!

Yep, I miss those days too... I'm 34, so early 90's was my era for Hip Hop. I'll never forget the oldschoolers, KRS-1 and Rakim ALONE could squash anything out today.

I guess because of my age, I just really could not relate to much of Hip Hop after 95". But here is one favorite of mine released after 95" You gotta love Bone Thugs:

KEVIN D and Quality, you guys are taking me waaaaaaaaaay back! I'm looking up a lot these on youtube. I almost forgot about the Geto Boys and can't live without Gang Starr and Brand Nubian! Surprisingly, overall, I was not a big fan of Public Enemy. Flav sort of irritated me :) but he's alright I guess....
