Why do you think music is considered by many as the universal language?!

Question:

Why do you think music is considered by many as the universal language?

Answers:

All art is a way of comunicating, beyond the realm of simple text or words. When you look at a Dali painting, can words really describe what you are seeing and feeling? Not really. It's the same with music. A minor scale or chord, will always invoke a dark or tense feeling, while a major one will feel happy. (and there are thousands of combinations possible)And while there is MATH to musical structure, it has no explaination as to why we link certain combinations of frequencies and rythymns to our actual feelings. it's just common in all humans.
