Why hasn't KISS been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, aren't they more than worthy?

Considering they are one of the biggest selling groups of all time, and have a fan base well over a million people, have made over 30 albums, and have paved the way for countless artists, I tend to think it is time. You may not like them, but I don't think anybody out there can deny what they have done in their 30 plus years.

KISS may never be inducted which is a waste.
I have been a fan for much longer then I care to admit, but the critics and the "smart" music people hated them then and still do.
I love all types of music but I will always be a KISS fan
