Tonight, Tonight Cover-- Edited Lyrics?!

Question:

Tonight, Tonight Cover-- Edited Lyrics?

Recently, Panic! At the Disco did a cover of the Smashing Pumpkins classic, "Tonight, Tonight." The CD it was on was included in a recent issue of Spin magazine. The original lyrics said, "In the place where I was born," but Brendon Urie sings something that sounds like, "In the place where Jon was born." Jon Walker is their bassist, and I suppose Brendon might say something like that, but if he did, why? And does it have any significance? I'd appreciate it immensely if someone could help me. Thanks!!

I'm not entirely sure if it's still on newsstands. It was the June 26th issue, if that helps any. You can probably find it online somewhere; its publication was sponsored by MySpace, so it might have the tracks posted there. =D

Answers:
