I want to write music for a book, can anybody give me tips?!?!
Question:
I want to write music for a book, can anybody give me tips?!?
I have decided that I want to try writing music based on the events that happened in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I'm not sure exactly where to start. I have no education in music theory yet, but I will in two years. Can anybody give me advice on how I should begin to start composing the music. And, yes, it will be for orchestra, so don't start me on concert band, or jazz, or anything like that. Thanks!!
Answers:
are you planning on writing lyrics? if so i suggest reading through the book and writing down any feelings you have...even if you think they sound dumb...soon those thoughts will develop into lyrics...that's how i write....
as far as composition...i don't play so....GOOD LUCK!
